Share a voice memory

Send one memory to someone outside your tree — they tap the link and it plays right there, no app or account needed. You stay in control, and you can turn the link off any time.

Walkthrough

  1. Open the memory you want to share, then tap Share this memory.
  2. Tap Create link. Rootkin makes a private link to just that one memory — nothing else in your tree comes with it.
  3. Choose how to send it:
    • Email — Rootkin sends a warm, branded message with your optional note.
    • QR code — show it on screen or print it, handy for a reunion or a card.
    • Copy link — paste it wherever you like.
  4. Whoever receives it taps the link and the memory plays right there — no app, no account, nothing to install. The same goes for anyone who scans the QR code on a printed keepsake. After listening, Rootkin offers them a gentle way to keep the voice in the family (a free account) — entirely their choice.
  5. To stop sharing, reopen Share this memory and tap Turn off link. It stops working immediately.
Good to know. A share link gives access to one memory and its audio — never your tree, your photos, or anyone's details. You can set a listen limit when you create it, and memories about a protected child can't be shared.
