Walkthrough
- Open the memory you want to share, then tap Share this memory.
- Tap Create link. Rootkin makes a private link to just that one memory — nothing else in your tree comes with it.
- Choose how to send it:
- Email — Rootkin sends a warm, branded message with your optional note.
- QR code — show it on screen or print it, handy for a reunion or a card.
- Copy link — paste it wherever you like.
- Whoever receives it taps the link and the memory plays right there — no app, no account, nothing to install. The same goes for anyone who scans the QR code on a printed keepsake. After listening, Rootkin offers them a gentle way to keep the voice in the family (a free account) — entirely their choice.
- To stop sharing, reopen Share this memory and tap Turn off link. It stops working immediately.
Good to know. A share link gives access to one memory and its audio — never your tree, your photos, or anyone's details. You can set a listen limit when you create it, and memories about a protected child can't be shared.
