When I was younger, both my parents were alive, and there were many, many stories that they told me over the years about our family that I have no record of today.
I really wish that I had had a way back then to easily record what they were saying and maintain those memories — so that I and their grandchildren, and maybe their great-grandchildren, could hear and treasure those stories just like I did as I was listening to them. But that simply wasn't available at that point, and so all of those stories and all of those memories… I mean, I have dim recollections of them, but they're basically lost.
